Projects from long-term partner organizations

The Foundation for the Third Millennium cooperates with organizations pursuing a holistic approach to sustainability.

ADES
Switzerland-Madagascar

ADES produces energy-efficient cookers in Madagascar and encourages the use of renewable energy.
The deforestation of approximately 0.5 mio acres of forest each year decimates Madagascar’s natural resources and biodiversity. About 3/4 of the cut wood is used for cooking. For these reasons, ADES promotes energy-efficient cooking methods and raises public awareness on sustainable use of natural resources and environmental protection. ADES’ goal ist that by 2050 the majority of Malagasy households will use energy-efficient cookstoves.
